Overview
The Death Korps of Krieg field a comparatively large squad of grim, expendable infantry — and they're entirely comfortable spending those lives to win the mission. Where elite teams protect every operative, Krieg leans into attrition: a Watchmaster issuing orders, gunners laying down fire, and a steady line of troopers who exist to hold ground and absorb punishment. It's an advanced team because squeezing value from a horde takes practice and careful activation management.
Strengths
- Activation advantage. More operatives means more activations, letting you react last on objective points.
- Orders and buffs. Command abilities can boost a key operative at the right moment, punching above the team's raw stats.
- Board presence. You can be everywhere at once, contesting multiple objectives a smaller team simply can't cover.
Weaknesses
- Individually fragile. Each trooper folds to focused fire — you rely on numbers, not toughness.
- Decision-heavy. More models means more activations to plan; sloppy play wastes the team's main advantage.
- Vulnerable to elite alpha strikes. A team that kills efficiently can erase your numbers edge fast.
How they win
Use your activation count as a weapon: spread out, contest more objectives than your opponent can answer, and always keep an operative in reserve to seize a point last. Issue orders to the model that needs them most each turning point, and don't be afraid to trade troopers to protect the scoreboard. Krieg grinds — outlast the opponent, hold the line, and let attrition decide the game.
